FAQ
Q.I had a great experience with my volunteer, how can I let others know?
If you had a great experience in your classroom, please leave a comment in the review section on your volunteer’s profile. Also, we would love to hear about your experience. Please send us a message here indicating that you’d like to leave positive feedback.
Q.Can a volunteer search for schools and request to speak?
At this time, volunteers may not search for specific schools and request to speak. Volunteers can register and create a profile, and teachers can search for volunteers that meet the needed criteria.
Q.How do I coordinate scheduling a presentation with a volunteer?
Once you have chosen a volunteer, you can communicate through KidTeacher’s secure messaging system in which your email address remains invisible to the recipient. KidTeacher recommends limiting the exchange of personal information.
Q.Who assumes the responsibility of verifying the credibility and background of volunteers?
KidTeacher does not vet volunteers. All volunteers should be required to follow institutional guest registration policies upon arrival.
Q.How can I contact KidTeacher directly to discuss my experience?
Please email us at info@KidTeacher.org. If you need to report a negative incident, please email us immediately or use the secure messaging system on our contact page.
Q.Is there any cost associated with being a volunteer or finding a volunteer?
KidTeacher is a free resource for both educators and volunteers. No advertising is done and no products are offered for sale.
